Voice in Movement was created by Johanne Desforges and is based on her many years of teaching experience. With a passion for communicating the intricacies of the vocal instrument, she has developed a technique combining knowledge, movement and joy.

Born in Lachute, Johanne Desforges has been a professional singer since the early 70's. She has lived and performed in Vancouver Canada and was on tour in the U.S. during 5 years in the late 70s. 
Started teaching private students in Montreal in 1976 and was later Professor of Jazz and Pop Voice at Vanier College in Montreal for 15 years. 
Singer/Pianist, Johanne loves to perform in jazz clubs, piano bars and special events. With a style all her own, interpreting the best of standard jazz and top french and english classic pop, she injects her original interpretations. She has recorded 5 CDs over the years.
Stage and Studio vocalist, she performs as background vocalist for the many well known artist of Quebec. She has taken many interesting detours, from the Montreal International Jazz Festival where she performed 10 times to Special Events and Concerts, she enjoys the communication with the audience and share her passion for music.
